2 10-oz packages of frozen strawberries, thawed | 1 envelope unflavored geletin |
1 1/2 cups buttermilk | |
Up to 2 weeks in advance or at least 4 hours before serving; in a small saucepan, drain 1/2 c strawberry syrup. Sprinkle gelatin envenly over syrup. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until gelatin is completely dissolved. In large bowl, stir gelatin mixture, strawberries and remaining syrup and buttermilk until well combined. cover bowl and freezemixture until partially frozen, about 1.5 hours. With mixer at medium speed, beat mixture until smooth but still frozen, craping bowl with rubber spatula. Cover and freeze 2 hours longer or until firm. |
